Nydia is a wholesome individual who finds love in strange places. She deals with a lot of heartache and pain along the way of finally realizing who she is and what she truly deserves. She endures pains such as becoming a mother with a man who barely cares for her, being hit by a car, and worst of all being domestically abused. This play is an excerpt of the book The Love You Promised Hurts Like Hell. It gives visual insight to what she faced and overcame in the process of finding love only to end up finding the greatest love within herself.

Today marked our first open rehearsal for "The Love You Promised Hurts Like Hell." While we didn't have the turnout we hoped for, the day provided us with a unique opportunity to reflect, discuss important details, and make significant progress in our preparations.

Though the room was quieter than expected, the atmosphere was filled with determination and focus. We used this time effectively to refine our production, ensuring every detail aligns perfectly with the vision we aim to bring to the stage.
